A. Legalisation Fees & Payment
All business-related documents and non-business/personal documents are subject to a legalisation fee:

Business-related documents: AUD 218 per document bundle.

B. Required Documents
Please prepare the following documents (1 original and 1 copy for Embassy files):

Statement of the Australia Company: Must be completed via this link: Statement of Australian Company.

Agency/Distribution Agreement: A copy of the Agreement between the Australian Company (Principal) and the Indonesian Company.
-
The agreement must include: territory of the market, products, rights and obligations, authority, term of agreement, settlement of disputes, and governing law.

Requirement: Must be notarized by a Notary Public and Apostilled by DFAT Australia.

Certificate of Existence/Good Standing: A recent certificate from ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) or recognition from a relevant Trade Association/Chamber of Commerce in Australia.

Identification Documents:

A copy of the applicant’s Australian passport.

A copy of the Australian citizenship certificate.

A copy of a valid photo ID (e.g., Australian driver’s licence).

C. Procedure & Submission
-
Document Verification: Ensure the Agency Agreement has been Apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) before sending it to the Embassy.

Submission: Send all physical documents with a cover letter to the Trade Attaché at the address below.

Return Service: Include a self-addressed, prepaid registered envelope or a prepaid airway bill for the return of your documents.

Processing Time: Legalisation takes 3 to 5 business days once all documents are verified as complete.

Output: The Embassy will issue a Letter of Reference for the appointment of the Sales Agent/Distributor in Indonesia.
