Non-business/personal documents: AUD 49 per document.

A. Legalisation Fees & Payment
All business-related documents and non-business/personal documents are subject to a legalisation fee:
Business-related documents: AUD 218 per document bundle.
Non-business/personal documents: AUD 49 per document

B. Required Documents
Please prepare the following documents (1 original and 1 copy for Embassy files):
Statement of the Australia Company: Must be filled out via this link: Statement of Australian Company.
Letter of Intent: To the Government of Indonesia, expressing the desire to open a trade representative office.
Letter of Appointment: For the Chief Representative Officer in Indonesia (must include their permanent address).
Letter of Statement: Specifying the activities of the Chief Representative.
Certificate of Existence/Good Standing: A recent certificate from ASIC or the relevant Australian authority where the company is registered.
Identification Documents:
A copy of the applicant’s Australian passport.
A copy of the Australian citizenship certificate.
A copy of a valid photo ID (e.g., Australian driver’s licence).
Note: The representative is prohibited from engaging in direct sales, signing commercial contracts, or settling claims.
Requirements for points 2, 3, and 4: Must be addressed to the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), notarized by a Notary Public, and Apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia.
C. Procedure & Submission
Preparation: Ensure all documents (points 2, 3, and 4) have been Apostilled by DFAT before submission.
Submission: Send all physical documents and proof of payment to the Embassy address below.
Return Service: Include a self-addressed, prepaid registered envelope for the return of your documents.
Processing Time: Legalisation takes 3 to 5 business days once all documents are verified as complete.
Output: The Embassy will issue a Letter of Reference to be used for your application in Indonesia.
